It's been a while since we've had our last update! Things have been a whirlwind in the background, but we've finally got something exciting and of value for our users on Buddyng iOS!
If you've been tracking the differences between our iOS and Android versions, you would have noticed that Android 🤖 has trumped us when it comes to connecting with other Buddyng users worldwide... until now 😏
Major update:
• Complete redesign of Connect Worldwide section so that you can easily find other Buddyng users on the map wherever you are!
It's super easy to navigate, you should go take a look yourself 😉

August is upon us! Here in the Dev Department, we've been spending our time coding while having the Olympics running in the background... and while the Olympians are surfing the waves 🤙🏽 we've been surfing our codebase to improve your experience on Buddyng App 😅
This week, we have a few updates for you:
• Fixing the viewability of buddy's bucketlist on their profile
• Ability to go onto a buddy profile when tapping on their profile picture
• Styling improvements such as removing unnecessary gaps between photos and alignment of tags (because our designer has been nagging us... 👩🏻🎨)

Since our soft launch, we've already received messages on our Instagram from you guys telling us how much you've enjoyed seeing Buddyng grow and feedback on parts of the app that didn't work so well. In response to this, we've made amendments accordingly!

Exciting news! Buddyng app is now available to download for anyone with access to iOS App Store (and Google Play Store) 🎉📱
In line with Apple app requirements, we've improved the Buddyng app experience for more people to enjoy. So get your family and friends on board!
Updates include:
• Ability to 'like' posts (c'mon, show your buddy's post some love 🤎)
• Improving the registering experience for new users (this may not affect our current Buddyng community, but we hope your friends and family who join will appreciate this!)
• Reduced the size of Buddyng app meaning that your phone will have more space to take pictures of your travels 📸 (... and hey, if you want to upload it onto Buddyng, we won't mind 😉)

Since our previous update, we've been working towards developing the Messaging section for everyone to enjoy. 📩
We understand that during these restricted times, it's not always easy communicating with others (and it's even harder when it comes to talking with new friends!), so we want you to get the most out of Messaging others on Buddyng app in the safest way possible.
Updates to Messaging include:
• Improvemnts to performance and stability (meaning that it'll be a lot quicker and easier to use now!)
• Timestamps to let you know when you've sent the message and when you've received one
• Notifications to let you know when you get a new message (look who's popular now, eh!? 😜)
Alongside this, we've been fixing a lot of snags that have been put forward by you guys. Once again, we genuinely appreciate the feedback received from the Buddyng community 🥺 - it doesn't get unnoticed!

Coding doesn't stop on weekends! 👨💻
Our continual efforts to push out features and catch up with the Android version is coming to a close! Just a few more updates till we're up-to-date with our counterpart 🤖 With this exciting news (at least for us...) we've now had the opportunity to fix the bug issues that the Buddyng community (you guys!) have helpfully sent through.
Thanks to the help from everyone involved, we're getting there! 🌱

• Buddies list now accessible from your Messages (to easily find your buddies and have a good travel-planning chat ☕️)
• Fullscreen functionality on posts (c'mon, we know you want to zoom in on certain pictures 👀 we don't judge!)
• Ability to edit and delete your posts and trips (incase you made an oopsie first time round!)
• Post filtering
• Ability to search posts by location for place-specific inspiration

As promised for iOS, we now have a lovely new Messaging feature so that we can all chat to one another faster and easier - we know it’s been long-awaited, but it’s finally here!
Alongside this nifty feature, we have also built out Notifications so that you can stay connected with others and receive instant updates from your social circle. Notifications also help us at Buddyng to connect and communicate with everyone easier - because we know that pesky emails can get annoying! ✉️ 👀

After our BETA launch last week (12th February), our iOS team has been working hard fixing the initial bugs that appeared on the platform. Alongside this, there have been new features added to enhance the user experience.

• Ability to load everyone’s exciting posts on the Inspire feed
• Viewing your own posts on your profile
• Polishing up your profile photo
• Ability to add a location when creating a post (who knows, your post might inspire someone’s next trip…)

Our iOS team has been working hard to catch up with the Android team's development 👨🏼💻 With some core functionality missing (such as Messaging), iOS devs are ensuring that the features that are available are at its best performance for a seamless experience on our app.
